I have decided to start a new section called Stuff To Watch and the first list I have included is The Veronicas appearances on TV over the next week.

I figured it can be of some use to those out there wondering when a show is on or perhaps if you are looking for something good to watch.

We live in a regional area around 85-90km from the main transmitter towers that we get our service off.
I had planned to sit down last night to record and watch the ARIAs as I do every year if I am at home, but this year it went horribly wrong…….and it was the bloody TV Antenna!

Had to get up on the roof around 6PM due to some glitching going on and play around with the antennas. First attempt moved them out of place and we lost all our digital channels, 2nd attempt got them going ok but not good and 3rd and final fixed it up….but still had some minor glitching occasionally. I concluded that we could deal with that and soldiered on.

Later that night when the awards were on and the bad weather was upon us it got to the point where we could not watch a program properly and I had to ditch the whole recording and watching completely.

I ended up getting the news of the awards from a friend who was watching to blog………what a shame!

I now want to throw the antennas off the roof…..but think I might just have to see about getting some replacements as these ones are doing no good!

Not everyone can manage to get to a TV set that has Channel TEN and the ARIA awards on it at the moment which includes myself this time around. Our TV Antennas are playing funny buggers and not letting digital TV work.

Fortunately I have a friend that is watching it at the moment and has been giving me the goss surrounding the awards and who has won some so I decided I would blog them for those who were interested.

We were getting things done rather quickly as I was checking the ARIA Awards website and they were behind us in the reporting. I must also add that ninemsn and their reporter Josh were behind us as well :p

Since I have not really updated the blog with any real nitty gritty content in a few days, I thought it might be time to do so and about today!

Class was pretty reasonable today, we focused on our presenting skills and used the afternoon to do some on-air which I was not particularly on the ball and slightly stuffed up….but I always think when this happens, at least I had the opportunity to do it somewhere that is not going to axe me for doing so.

The time spent after class was used for running to the car in this wonderful downpour that we had and getting my sister off to my mother who was shopping on the other side of the city so that I could get prepared for the evenings entertainment.

The evenings entertainment was not your usual…..ABC Goulburn Murray had put on a radio play that was all about the dutch plane Uiver which landed in Albury in 1934 after hitting bad storms while on-route to Melbourne in a competition flight….you can read more about it here. The work that had gone into this project and the cast that was put together was fabulous, portrayals of the characters made it seem so close to life and it had plenty of laughs!

On the topic of this radio play….I must also note that there was some reasonably attractive females in the cast which I could not help but notice! (Yes I am Male!)

I am actually hoping that they release it onto CD at some stage so we can buy it as a keepsake.

You know what my pet hate is when I am buying music and videos?

The price stickers stores place on the items which will not come off properly

I brought Housexy which is a 2CD house music compilation from Virgin Music yesterday and as I do I went to remove the sticker in the evening once I had sampled it…..and it didn’t come off properly. Usually I would just go and get some kind of cleaner to get the sticky off the packaging but at the moment it is trendy for Dance/House music compilations to be in smooth cardboard cases which is real annoying.

Do people even think of the implications from using these types of labels on the items that are being sold in the stores before they purchase them to make the price labels?

If I was a store owner I would be making sure my price stickers come off without too much trouble so that the percentage of people out there like me do not have to gripe about it!
